Malawi Council for Disability Affairs (MACODA) formally known as Malawi Council for the Handicapped (MACOHA) is a legally mandated Council established by the Persons with Disabilities Act, 2024 to promote and protect the fundamental rights of persons with disabilities, provide simplified and cost effective mechanism for redress in cases of breach of the fundamental rights and freedoms of persons with disabilities, and overlooks the management and administration of the Disability Trust Fund as well as registration of persons with disabilities, institutions, associations and organisations implementing disability programmes in Malawi.
